- The Layout
Bring your own home plan? We can also assist with designing your dream. The first step is creating a list of functional areas. We will then determine the square footage necessary to accomplish those requests. This takes in the lotsize, building code, and any other consideration
- The Finish
The floorplan and layout are completed and your ready to discuss the finish of the house. This includes anything from carpet and color selections right up to deciding on tub-showers in lieu of regular showers. Dreams don’t always fit construction realities, but with 50+ combined years of construction experience if you can dream it we can solve it!
- Cost and Logistics
Architectural fees, adjust a floor plan or design a new house, you decide. 2-6 weeks. Considerations for the land use and submitting a plan for approval. 2 weeks. With an approved plan Charter Homes prepares a preliminary budget. 2 weeks. Based on the preliminary budget, sign contracts subject to final approved budget, if custom design a structural engineering plan is developed. 2 weeks. Vendor visits for specific finishes (floor covering, countertops, wall tile, etc.) lighting, cabinets, (kitchen design, etc.), appliances, plumbing fixtures, fireplaces, sound systems, low voltage wiring, etc..8weeks. Final budget Acceptance and construction starts 8months. Total time frame roughly 1 year, might be done faster if required.
